Hydraulic fracturing, a highly disruptive and haphazard technology, has been presented as a novel innovation and economic boom. But growing scientific evidence tells a different story that includes widespread water contamination, uncontrollable seismic activity, landscape industrialization and economic ruin. The harrowing experience of Jessica Ernst further illustrates how government and regulators will flaunt the law to protect a powerful industry and its dangerous technology.
Mr. Nikiforuk’s Nova Scotia speaking tour will include the following locations:
7pm – Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Shubenacadie, Wednesday September 28
7pm – Dalhousie University College of Sustainability, Halifax, Thursday September 29
7pm – South Shore Waldorf School, Block House, Friday September 30
