Local writer, Sarah Faber, will be giving a reading on September 23, 2016 from 7pm-8pm here at the Arts Centre.
Sarah Faber received an MA in Creative Writing and English Literature from Concordia University. Her writing has appeared in Matrix and Brick, and has been short-listed for The Malahat Review Far Horizons Award for Short Fiction. She also creates collector art dolls under the name Black-Eyed Suzie. Sarah grew up in Toronto and now lives on Cape Breton Island with her husband and their two young children. She is currently working with Samantha Haywood, director and literary agent at Transatlantic Agency, on the final edits of her first novel, All is Beauty Now. It will be coming out in spring 2017 with McClelland and Stewart in Canada and Little, Brown in the US.
