Participants will learn to hand carve blocks, plan, and print their original pattern on lengths of fabric. This kind of work is often useful in fashion and interior design – think scarves, bedding, curtains, wallpaper, and anything else you can dream up! Basic cotton lengths will be supplied, yet students are encouraged to bring in their own additional fabric for experimentation. Keep in mind it doesn’t have to be brand new – bring something used and print a cool punk pattern on top of your grandma’s floral bedsheets, or create your block to work hand in hand with the existing pattern, making your one of a kind textile even more dynamic.
Registration fee: $50
Ages: 16+
