Steve Wadden Time Frame: Two Decades of Celtic Colours

Cape Breton photographer Steve Wadden and filmmaker Jacquelyn Mills will hosts an artists’ talk at the Inverness County Centre for the Arts. They will discuss the exhibition of photographs  titled Spirit of the Festival and  the making of the documentary film Celtic Colours: Spirit of the Festival.

The exhibition, Steve Wadden’s first solo exhibition,  is a selection of behind the scenes photographs shot in 2015, during the making of the film. It is one of four unique photography exhibitions curated by Wadden as part of Time Frame: Two Decades of Celtic Colours — a series that explores the storied history of the international festival through the most visually compelling, intimate and telling photographs from their near 20-year archive.  Time Frame is Wadden’s curatorial debut, and features work from numerous artists.

The artist talk will be informal, off the cuff and open to the floor as Wadden walks attendees through the exhibition. Following a walk through, the artist will discuss his background and creative processes in photography, his recent transition into the world of motion pictures and his role on the Celtic Colours documentary film crew.
Artist talk begins at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a screening of the documentary film Celtic Colours: Spirit of a Festival at 2 p.m.
Admission is by donation.
