ICCA is pleased to invite the public to a book signing sponsored by Alice Freeman of the Bear Paw of Inverness. This event introduces Brenda MacLennan-Dunphy’s first novel, Never Speak of This Again. Set in the era of World War I and the Spanish flu, this story traces the life of a young Cape Breton girl who goes to Boston and find herself in trouble. It takes the reader from eastern Canada to western Canada, to Europe, and back again.
The event will include a reading by the author, live music, refreshments, and cash bar. Books will be available for sale.
MacLennan-Dunphy, a well-known local writer, is a Cape Bretoner, born and bred. A teacher by trade and a gypsy by nature, she is the mother of four adult children and lives in Skye Glen with her husband, Ed. She is the author of four plays.
Admission by donation. Proceeds to support the art centre.
